Julia has over 20 years consulting experience. She was a principal at Towers Perrin, where she led the HRM team, and has also worked for niche consultancies as a director and psychologist.
Julia's consulting expertise is focused on the understanding of individuals and teams, and how to help organisations resolve people related problems. Her background is in business psychology, management, training, executive coaching and workplace counselling. Her work typically involves the facilitation of Boards, diagnostic work with individuals and teams, individual coaching support for executives, and the design of HR processes such as performance management, leadership development and talent management.
Julia is a member of the British Psychological Society, the Association of Business Psychologists, and the Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association.
Over the past few years Julia has been commissioned by CIPD to write materials to assist line managers and HR specialists with the introduction of coaching in their organisations. In 2007 she wrote The Coaching Toolkit with Lise Lewis, in 2008 she scripted a DVD and support materials on Coaching for Line Managers, and in 2009 a DVD entitled Communicating in Difficult Situations |
